Do not log in. Book This Bet gives you a reference, not a ticket. The price is the price when the outlet prints it, and a started event voids the slip.
Independent guide, not operated by Gbets. This page explains the operator’s process. It is not a sign-in form and it never asks for your password.
What the reference is
- Stay logged out
Section 2.22 says to open the site or the app and not log on, then tap Book This Bet. The reference is a reservation, not a ticket.
- The price moves
Odds are the odds when the outlet prints the ticket. If any selected event has started, the reference is void.
- Pay at the outlet
The bet exists only after you pay and receive a valid ticket. In-play, BetGames and Open Bets cannot be booked this way.
- 1
Open Gbets and do not log on
Section 2.22 of the book-a-bet terms says to enter the Gbets website or mobile application but not log on. A search for “book a bet gbets login” hits this rule: the booking itself is done while logged out.
- 2
Choose fixed-odds selections
Select options on a fixed-odds sporting event or other fixed-odds contingency. In-running, in-play, BetGames and Open Bets are excluded from Book-a-Bet.
- 3
Set the stake and click Book This Bet
The terms tell you to set the stakes and confirm with “Book This Bet”. Gbets then logs a booked bet and generates a Book-a-Bet reference number.
- 4
Keep the reference while the markets are still active
The reference is valid only while the selected markets remain active. If any selected event or contingency has started, the reference and the booked bet are void. Gbets can also suspend a market and invalidate the reference.
- 5
Collect the ticket at a Gbets outlet
Take the reference to a Gbets outlet and give it to a staff member so the ticket can be printed. Gbets says the group operates Gbets retail outlets. The booked bet is not a ticket yet.
- 6
Pay before it becomes a bet
The bet is valid only once it has been paid for at the outlet and a valid ticket has been produced. The odds are the odds when the ticket is printed, not the odds on screen when you booked it.
What you are holding
Until the outlet prints a ticket and you pay, you have a reference number. Gbets can stop offering Book-a-Bet without notice, and can stop a market, which invalidates the reference. If you are unsure the button still says “Book This Bet”, use the label on the slip. We did not re-check the button text inside a logged-out betting screen beyond the terms.
You must be 18 or older. The booked selections are void once any of them has started. Do not treat the on-screen price as the price you will be paid.
Outlets
The Gbets footer says the group operates Gbets retail outlets and describes “over 60” of them. This guide does not keep a store list. Ask Gbets, or use the outlet you already know, and take the reference with you. The booking page’s footer on book.gbets.co.za also mentions a Gauteng-licensed retail name that does not match the main Gbets footer. The steps above are quoted from section 2.22 of those terms, which are written as Gbets’ rules.
Common questions
Do I log in to book a bet on Gbets?
The published steps say no. Enter the website or app and do not log on, then book the bet. Logging in is for the account, deposits and withdrawals, not for creating this reference.
Is the reference a bet?
No. The terms call it a reservation. It becomes a bet only when you pay at a Gbets outlet and receive a valid ticket.
Are the odds locked when I book?
No. The odds are the odds at the time the ticket is printed.
Can I book a live bet?
No. Book-a-Bet excludes in-running and in-play markets, and also BetGames and Open Bets.
