Proof of address older than three months is refused. Have a current photo ID and a bank document in your own name ready before you try to withdraw.
Independent guide, not operated by Gbets. This page explains the operator’s process. It is not a sign-in form and it never asks for your password.
FICA documents that get accepted
- Photo ID that is still valid
A green ID book, smart ID or passport, or a current work, asylum-seeker or refugee permit. It must show the full name, carry a photograph, and must not have expired.
- Address proof under three months
Gbets refuses proof of address older than three months. The same three-month limit applies to a bank statement and proof of banking details.
- The name has to match
Documents that do not identify the account holder can lead to a block and a withheld withdrawal. A relative’s statement will not clear the account.
- Send files only to Gbets
Use their upload or the email they name. hello@seomighty.com is for this guide’s media mail. It cannot accept an ID document.
- 1
Give the identity details at registration
Gbets says every new customer must disclose full names, a South African identity number or passport number, mobile numbers, and the source of funds for the betting account.
- 2
Send a current photo identity document if asked
They accept a valid ID, smart ID or passport that has not expired, shows the full name and has a photograph. A later clause also allows a current work permit or a current asylum-seeker or refugee permit on the same conditions. They may require a certified copy. Send it by web upload or email.
- 3
Send proof of residential address less than three months old
Gbets says it will not accept proof of address older than three months. The document has to be legible.
- 4
Send banking proof if asked
They can ask for a bank statement and proof of banking details, also not older than three months. Withdrawals are paid only to the registered account holder and, for EFT, only back to the account the deposit came from.
- 5
Answer inside the time they set
If the documents do not arrive in the timeframe Gbets specifies, the account may be suspended until they do. They also say they may suspend any account that has not met FICA.
What you are agreeing to
Completing the registration form is consent for identification, credit and other verification, screening, security checks and source-of-funds checks. Gbets may tell a regulator. They also say they must report suspicious or unusual transactions to the Financial Intelligence Centre.
The same FICA section is printed twice in the terms, with a small difference. One clause lists bank statements as something they can request. The repeated clause lists identity documents, passport, proof of address and proof of banking details. Treat both as live: if they ask for a bank statement, send one that is not older than three months.
Do not email identity documents to G-Bet Guide. The address hello@seomighty.com is for media, articles and backlinks only. Documents go to Gbets, by the upload they provide or to the email they specify. Account support they publish is onlinesupport@gbets.co.za.
Age and exclusion
Verification includes age. Gbets can ask for proof that you are 18 or older. A person on the national register of excluded persons may not apply or bet. Self-exclusion is a separate process on theresponsible gambling page.
Common questions
What is FICA on a Gbets account?
The Financial Intelligence Centre Act, Act 38 of 2001. Gbets says it must identify customers, keep records and monitor transactions so the account is not used for money laundering.
When can they ask for documents?
At registration or at any time while the account is open. They can also share details with verification providers, banks, credit bureaus and regulators, which you consent to by completing the form.
What if my proof of address is four months old?
It will be refused. Get a document dated within the last three months.
Can I verify someone else’s account?
No. The documents have to identify the account holder. The terms say uploading documents that do not match the customer can lead to a block and a withheld withdrawal.
