Take a time-out from the Gbets responsible-gambling page
That page links a time-out control described as taking a break from betting. It sits behind the account settings. We could not open the separate time-out terms URL, so use the control and the wording on the responsible-gambling page.

Download the self-exclusion form they link
Gbets links the National Gambling Board self-exclusion application form from the responsible-gambling page.
- 4
Complete it and email onlinesupport@gbets.co.za
The page says to send the completed form to that address. Do not send it to this guide.
- 5
Treat the account as closed
Gbets says a self-excluded account cannot be opened by you or by anyone using your login. An uplift is only after six months or more, with proof of counselling by a certified medical practitioner.
The notice Gbets prints
Their footer says the National Responsible Gambling Programme toll-free counselling line is 0800 006 008, or WhatsApp HELP to 076 675 0710. It also says no person under 18 may bet, that underage gambling is a criminal offence, and that gambling can be addictive. “Winners know when to stop” is their line, not a slogan of this guide.
The responsible-gambling page says Gbets supports the South African Responsible Gambling Foundation and its National Responsible Gambling Programme. A time-out is offered as a break. Self-exclusion uses the National Gambling Board form they link, sent to onlinesupport@gbets.co.za.
If you are in crisis, call 0800 006 008. Do not wait on an email to this website. hello@seomighty.comcannot counsel you and cannot close a Gbets account.
What we could not read
The footer links to terms for time-out and self-exclusion at gbets.co.za/terms-and-conditions-for-time-out-self-exclusion. That URL returned a 404 when we requested it. The steps on this page come from the responsible-gambling page, which did load. If the two ever differ, the page that loads on gbets.co.za is the one to follow.
Common questions
What is the South African problem-gambling number?
Gbets prints the National Responsible Gambling Programme line as 0800 006 008, and WhatsApp HELP to 076 675 0710.
Is self-exclusion the same as closing an account?
No. Closing an account is a written request to support. Self-exclusion, as Gbets describes it, blocks access until a formal uplift after at least six months, with proof of counselling.
Can I bet if I am under 18?
No. Gbets restricts the platform to people 18 or older and says underage gambling is a criminal offence. This guide is not for anyone under 18.
Who pays for counselling?
The helpline is the route Gbets publishes. This guide does not set clinical fees and does not provide counselling.
